Open Access Policy

Open Access Statement:

e-Publica is an Open Access journal. All content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

e-Publica uses a Creative Commons licence for its articles (CC BY 4.0 Attribution). This allows for immediate free access to the work and permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.

The CC BY 4.0 licence enables readers to distribute, quote, and build upon the material as long as they give appropriate credit to the original creator. This licence enables maximum dissemination and use of the licensed material while still ensuring proper attribution to the original author and is compliant with Plan S.

Authors retain their copyrights, along with the freedom to use and reuse their works for scholarly purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given. This includes extending an article to book length, incorporating it into subsequent compilations, and reusing portions, excerpts, figures, or tables in other works without permission or payment.

Authors can also use and share their works for scholarly purposes, such as classroom teaching, conference presentations, distribution to students and colleagues, sharing via Share Links, inclusion in theses or dissertations, and private sharing. Authors are permitted to publicly share the final published article.

Authors may deposit versions of their works in repositories, provided that such deposit is compatible with e-Publica's peer-review process.

e-Publica operates a double-blind peer-review system, and the identity of authors must therefore remain anonymous during the evaluation process.

During the submission and review process, the manuscript must not be made publicly available in a way that allows the authorship to be identified, namely through the deposit of a preprint associated with the name(s) of the author(s) or any other form of public availability that reveals such authorship. This requirement is intended to safeguard the anonymity required by e-Publica's double-blind peer-review system.

Circulating or presenting the work in academic settings, namely at conferences, workshops or among researchers, is not, in itself, incompatible with the peer-review process, provided that it does not result in the manuscript being made publicly available in a way that allows the authorship to be identified.

This condition also applies where the title of the deposited version is subsequently changed, if the content of the manuscript may allow the authorship to be identified through text searches or other means.

This restriction is intended solely to preserve the anonymity and integrity of the peer-review process and does not, in itself, prevent authors from circulating or reusing their works for scholarly purposes.

The deposit of a version that does not allow the authorship to be identified is not, in itself, incompatible with e-Publica's double-blind peer-review system.

The full text of all content is available free of charge and with immediate open access. There is no embargo period and no requirement for users to register to read content.
